Pell City- Ragland tornado on January 10,1975. A devastating tornado struck Pell City and nearby Ragland in St. Clair county Alabama. Causing destruction, destroying 54 homes and damaging 300. The tornado killed one person in Ragland and affected the Smith Trailer Park.

" The Blizzard Of the Century "

The Blizzard of 1993, also known as the storm of the century hit Alabama on March 12,1993. The storm brought heavy, wet snow, and winds up to 40 miles per hour with gust over 50. Snowfall amounts varied across the state, 4 inches in Tuscaloosa to 17 inches in Valley Head. Birmingham recorded a low of 2 degrees on March 14. Over 404,000 people in Alabama lost power for up to 5 days. 16 Alabamian people lost their life as a result of the storm.
